Snow!

I've been wishing for snow for quite some time now.  Thank God for making my wish come true. 

I was in Auburn for much of the snow this weekend.  Here I am looking off their porch at the glimmer of sunset:

I'm hoping for more snow tonight!  We'll see what happens.  It's so beautiful! 

Rocky Rockstar, all grown up

Remember when he was a little baby?  Now, after training in Enumclaw, our big boy Rocky Rockstar (as I like to call him) is trained and ready to ride.  Gabi saddled him up earlier this month at mom and dad's.

Happy Birthday Strawberry!

Strawberry girl is 18 years old today!  Wow, how time flies.  Here are a few pictures of the early years when we had her.  She is a proud momma of three babies, and our very first horse as a family.

Rockstar and Big Chess

We enjoyed a bit of sunshine around New Years which made the pigs, I mean horses, happy.  Pardon their dirty-ness, thought you might want to peak at how baby Rocky and big Chester are doing:

Rocky

Rocky is a growing boy, almost a year old.  He's still a sweetheart, in my humble biased opinion.  Just a few pics and a video to share. 

I admit, the video isn't as exciting as this one, but it will have to do for now.  :)

Rocky boy is growing up.  Tyler took a few photos of him last weekend while Becca and I made homemade pizza...which was quite the party by the way!

On April 19, he will turn one year old!  Time flies.

Saddled up!

Mr. Rockstar did well as dad introduced him to the saddle. At this age, it is good to get him used to having the saddle on but he won't start riding until about 2 years. He's such a calm and good boy, dad was very proud!

His momma wasn't so sure of this, but she did fine since she was watching right next door.



Maybe I'll ride Rocky in a few years...it has been a LONG time since I've been on a horse!

Feelin' the love!

The Hauck animals were feelin' the love on 12.13.09 when Karlie, Jordan, and Fisch visited. We spent the day eating, showering the animals with attention, enjoying the fireplace, building a gingerbread house which collapsed quite promptly, drinking red eye, and eating some more :)



It was delightful...even snowed in Auburn!

The horses don't pay much attention to the people...


Yes, this is the same Rocky that was born in April! He has grown up so quickly!

But the cats and dogs sure soaked up the attention!

Go Rocky, Go!

Rocky was enjoying the sunshine today and the freedom to run around the green pasture. Too busy running to notice the good grass! Yeehaw ;)

Funny thing is that you can hear the turkeys gobbling in the background!

It is probably no surprise to my readers that I love animals. Some day, I hope to have enough space for many of them. No kids, just animals :0) That's my personal preference at least for now. I visit my family in Auburn to get my animal love dose and those of you who have been there know that there are many animals to love. Here are a few shots from last weekend.

You can see that Rocky has grown into a young man. He is almost 6 months old and these were taken on one of his last nights with momma because dad weaned him this week.
